Terms of Use
Effective July 9, 2026
These terms apply to your use of the Cutlist website and app. By using Cutlist, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
What Cutlist provides
Cutlist provides tools for organizing woodworking projects, calculating parts, and generating suggested cutting layouts and sequences. Results are planning aids and may contain errors or may not account for every material defect, tool limitation, joinery method, safety requirement, or real-world condition.
Your responsibility and shop safety
You are responsible for checking all dimensions, quantities, grain direction, material properties, clearances, tool settings, and cut sequences before purchasing material or making a cut. Follow the instructions for your tools, use appropriate guards and protective equipment, and do not follow an app-generated instruction that you believe is unsafe.
Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for activity under your account. Provide accurate information, promptly report suspected unauthorized access, and do not attempt to access another person’s projects or account.
Acceptable use
You may not misuse the service, interfere with its operation, bypass access or project limits, probe for vulnerabilities, upload malicious material, infringe others’ rights, or use shared-plan features to distribute unlawful or harmful content.
Purchases
Pro may be offered as a one-time purchase that unlocks the features described at purchase. Mobile purchases are processed by Apple or Google and are subject to their payment, refund, family-sharing, and store-account rules. Web purchases are processed by Stripe. Prices and available features may differ by store or region. Eligible mobile purchases can be restored from the app.
Your content
You retain ownership of project information you create. You grant Cutlist the limited permission needed to host, process, synchronize, back up, and display that information in order to provide the service. Anyone with an active shared-plan link may be able to view the plan associated with that link.
Cutlist materials
The app, website, branding, software, and original content are owned by Cutlist or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These terms do not transfer ownership of those materials to you.
Service changes and availability
The service may be changed, suspended, or discontinued, and features may occasionally be unavailable. Reasonable efforts may be made to preserve compatibility and access, but uninterrupted operation is not guaranteed.
Disclaimers and limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Cutlist is provided “as is” and without warranties of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, or non-infringement. To the extent permitted by law, Cutlist will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for material waste, project errors, lost data, lost profits, or personal injury resulting from reliance on generated plans. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
Termination and deletion
You may stop using Cutlist or delete your account at any time. Access may be suspended or terminated for material violations of these terms, unlawful use, security threats, or conduct that harms the service or other users. Sections that by their nature should survive termination remain in effect.
Changes and contact
These terms may be updated as the service changes. Continued use after updated terms take effect constitutes acceptance where permitted by law. Questions can be sent to [email protected]. See the Privacy Policy for information about data handling.
